The Faculdade de Motricidade Humana/Faculty of Human Kinetics (FMH) integrates the Universidade de Lisboa/University of Lisbon (UL).UL is currently, the largest University in Portugal, with 18 Schools. FMH is involved in higher education and scientific communities, and also in various social sectors. The elementary and high schools network, within the scope of the Masters in Teaching Physical Education and School Sports‘ programme is an example of how scientific and pedagogic relationships are developed with the education system, facilitating, both, the qualification of teachers training and the development of joint research projects, namely the development of pilot studies of research programs to be implemented all around the country. FMH has modern and well equipped units for the successful training of students and for research. FMH laboratories develop various research projects involving a dynamic participation from postgraduate students and have strong links to the surrounding community. FMH is the EuPEO’s Project Coordinator based on its Laboratory of Pedagogy (LaPED).
LaPED’s FMH will lead all the project work, as well as collaborating with SPEF on the Portuguese data, outputs and dissemination, and with the member on Europe-wide data, outputs and dissemination. Associate Professor Dr. Marcos Onofre is the EuPEO’s Principal Investigator (PI) and contact person, taking responsibilities of project and FMH team coordination and of researcher. The other research members of the FMH team include Assistant Professor Dr. Maria Martins, Assistant Professor Dr. Ana Quitério, Invited Assistant Professor Dr. João Martins. Project Fellow MsEd. Dora Carolo will support technically the work of the FMH team. The FMH team also includes the administrative MsC. Andreia Sousa to support project management and implementation.
